Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Reception Card?
A reception card is an additional component to your wedding invitation that outlines
information about the reception, such as location, date and time It is often used when the
reception is held at a different location than the ceremony. Some people even include
directions from the church to the reception on this card.
What is a Response Card?
A response card (or reply card) is an important part of your wedding invitations. Your
guests confirm their attendance and return the card so you can keep track of the number
of guests. It is also customary to include a reply envelope with postage. Remember when
sending invitations to international or out of country guests, do not include postage on
their response envelope. They will need to purchase postage according to their
specifications.
Can I customize the response card?
Of course! You may wish to include an option to choose your entrée if the venue has
several to offer, or if vegetarian or vegan options are available. It is also helpful for those
with special dietary requirements to indicate in advance so you can ensure they have a
meal tailored to their needs.
Can I speak to someone about my order?
Absolutely! Each customer works one-on-one with an Invitation Specialist dedicated to
your account. You will exchange direct contact information with your representative when
you commence your order so you can contact them directly if you have any questions.
When should I order my invitations?
Traditionally wedding invitations and response cards (and any other information going
with the invitations) should be ordered about 4 months in advance.
When should I send my wedding invitations?
You can send them eight weeks prior to your wedding. For events taking place on
holidays or during holiday seasons, sending invitations out up to three months is advance
is acceptable.
When should I make my RSVP date?
The final date for RSVP is your choice, but two weeks before the wedding is standard.
This gives you time to follow up with any late responders and submit final numbers to your
banquet hall or caterer.
How long does it take to receive my order?
You will receive your order approximately three weeks after you approve your final design.
Your envelopes are white. Can I get something different?
Definitely! Speak to your Invitation Specialist about additional options. We have coloured
envelopes, linen textured envelopes, metallic and foil lined options that are available as
an upgrade. Costs may vary depending on your choices.
Can I see the invitations in person?
Of course! We can send you samples of our invitations upon request. If you are located
in St. Catharines, Welland, Niagara Falls or in the Niagara region, you can make an
appointment to visit our studio for a free consultation.
